Completing degrees in geography and environmental management at the University of Otago, Jorja returned to the West Coast to take up roles at the West Coast Regional Council followed by the Department of Conservation, before joining Tai Poutini Professional Services in 2022. Over this time, Jorja has worked on an array of consenting projects including subdivisions, mining, roading, land use, dairy discharges, and water takes - forming relationships with key clients whilst gaining experience in the consultancy realm.

Jorja has a key interest in roading and industrial projects with some of her notable projects including the reinstatement of numerous local roads in the Buller District after a significant weather event, resulting in flooding and slips, caused many roads to become unstable.
